What MEWP is Classed as a Mobile Vertical Elevated Platform?
If mobile elevated platforms can be manoeuvred from height when in use, they would be classed as mobile vertical platforms. If the mobile elevated platform (MEWP) requires outriggers when in use, it would be classed as a static vertical platform.

The Scissor lift training course can be done at your premises or ours … or indeed anywhere in the UK. A scissor lift training course usually lasts about 7 hours.

- safety awareness & theory talk,

Cherry Picker Training (Mobile Boom)
A cherry picker is a self propelled boom used to work at height. Cherry picker training is usually done at the employee’s workplace.
All cherry picker training courses usually involve about 7 hours training – maximum of 3 if novices (up to max 6 delegates if refreshers ) and the delegates receive either in-house or a nationally recognised BRITTOP certificate on completion of the course.

- 8.30am start with the cherry picker course registration,
- introduction and safety awareness,
- introduction to different types of MEWP,
- safety and pre-start checks,
- cherry picker operator training,
- theory test
